Chepstow, a Welsh town right on the border of England, is a place we've been a few times. On this trip, we decided to get a hotel here and stay a few days, using it as a base to explore a bit more of Wales. We rented a car for the first time ever, here - what an experience! Especially figuring out how to use Welsh gas (petrol) pumps. The people in this small town are friendly and helpful. We'll return, for sure. We can recommend the Beaufort Hotel - very well situated and friendly people working there. We were able to easily visit spectacular Tintern Abbey and the magnificent Raglan Castle on the same day, using Chepstow as a base.
